HENRY E. PETERSEN

Henry E. Petersen was born on January 2, 1940, in Garnavillo, Iowa to William "Bill" and Anna Margareta "Greta" (Wieben) Eggers. Henry was preceded in death by his parents; adoptive father,  Nick Petersen; step-mother, Frieda Petersen; his sister-in-law, Arlys Petersen.

Mrs. Petersen is survived his wife of 36 years, Loris Petersen; four children, Curtis Petersen, Bradley (Lynn) Berning, Barbara (Bruce) Berg, and Cyle (Lee) Petersen; 12 grandchildren; his brother, Gunther Petersen; sister, Helen (Leonard) VanHouten; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Zion Lutheran Church in Stewartville, MN. Following the celebration everyone is invited to Henry's "Party" at the Stewartville American Legion. Henry wanted everyone to celebrate the the life he lived and enjoy the company of each other and have a beer in his honor. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the National Kidney Foundation https://www.kidney.org

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
