JUAN "JUNE" VILLARREAL, JR.
EDINBURG - God opened His gates of Heaven for Juan "June" Villarreal, Jr., 79, on Sunday, September 2, 2018 in Edinburg surrounded by his family. Born in Runge, Texas, Mr. Villarreal lived in Edinburg most of his life. Mr. Villarreal was preceded in death by two sons, Juan, III and Gilberto Villarreal; his parents, Juan Villarreal, Sr. and Rebeca G. Villarreal; two brothers, Reynaldo and Ricardo Villarreal; and a sister, Rosalva Hernandez.
Mr. Villarreal is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ofelia R. Villarreal; twelve children: María Luisa Cantú, Rosalinda Luna, Héctor, Ricardo, René, Norma Linda, Blanca Estella, Jaime Omar, Noelia Olga, Noemí Nora, Aarón and Ofelia Cristina Villarreal; 23 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; six sisters: Laura Rodríguez, María Luisa Cantú, Dora Villarreal, Hilda Ybarra, Rebeca Alaníz and Noemí Cavazos; two brothers, Santiago and Guadalupe Villarreal; countless cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018, with a 7 p.m. rosary at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Having the distinction of serving as Pallbearers include Héctor, Ricardo, René, Jaime Omar, Aarón Villarreal and Juan Pérez. Honorary Pallbearers will include Santiago and Guadalupe Villarreal.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
