ELMA G. GONZALEZ

RIO GRANDE CITY - Elma G. Gonzalez, 98, went to be with our Lord, Thursday, Septmeber 28, 2017, in San Juan surrounded by her family. Life time Rio Grande City resident, Elma is preceded in death by her parents, Alberto and Celedonia Gutierrez; two brothers, Gumaro and Alberto Gutierrez; two sisters, Felicia Bassinger and Delta Smith.

Elma was a devout Catholic who always volunteered and helped at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Rio Grande City. Holidays were ultra special with Elma, she loved to cook and take care of her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. 

Mrs. Gonzalez is survived by her son, Gerardo (Margarita O.) Gonzalez; two granddaughters: Diandra Gonzalez and Karina Gonzalez; a grandson, Gerardo X. (Elizabeth) Gonzalez; a great-granddaughter, Dianthe Gonzalez; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a 5:45 p.m. rosary, Thursday, October 5, 2017, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
