Benito Torres

Edinburg, Texas Mr Benito Torres ,82, passed away on Thursday July 13, 2017 at his home in Edinburg surrounded by his family. Benito was born on April 21, 1935 in Mexico to Francisco Torres and Felipa Rodriguez. He was a long time resident of Edinburg. Benito was preceded in death by his parents, his sons-Agustin Jaime Torres, Sacramento Torres, and Lazaro Torres, sisters Beatrice Veliz Torres, Dora Veliz Torres, Dolores Garcia Torres and Apolonia Torres. Benito is survived by his wife Maria Hilda Torres Veliz, his children- Manuela Facundo, San Juana Torres , Benito Torres Jr., Francisco Torres, and Antonio Torres 19 grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday July 16, 2017 at Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Monday July 17, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Tuesday July 18, 2017 from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm. Evening services each day will be at 7:00 pm Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 19, 2017 at 10:00 am at Legacy Chapels. Burial will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park cemetery in Edinburg. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
