Edinburg, Texas Maria Hilda Torres,76, entered eternal rest Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Mission Regional Medical Center. MAaia Hilda was born March 5, 1945 in Los Ramones, NL, Mexico to Felipe Veliz and Senoria Morado Veliz. Maria Hilda was a resident of Edinburg for many years. She enjoyed tending to her garden, plants, and enjoyed family gatherings. She was preceded in death by her parents; Her Husband Benito Torres; Her Children- Manuela Torres, Agustine Torres, Sacramento Torres, Lazaro Torres; Her Siblings MArtin Veliz, Felipe Veliz, and Enedelia Veliz. Maria Hilda is survived by her beloved children; San Juana Torres, Benito Torres Jr., Francisco Torres, and Antonio Torres; Her Brothers and Sisters- Domingo Veliz, Jose Veliz, Belizario Veliz, Manuel Veliz, Julian Veliz, Jesus "Chuy" Mora, Eustolia Veliz Hernandez, Artemio Veliz, Estella Veliz, Everardo Veliz, Erasmo Veliz, Eleazar Veliz, Eludorio Veliz, Elias Veliz; Numerous of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 6:00 pm and Monday, February 7, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm at Legacy Chapels,4610 South Jackson Rd. in Edinburg. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow to Hillcrest Memorial Park cemetery in Edinburg. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Legacy Chapels of Edinburg.
