ROSENDO BENITEZ
MCALLEN- Rosendo Benitez, 53, went to his eternal home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ Thursday, January 27, 2022. Mr. Benitez was preceded in death by his mother, Elva Benitez Ramon; brother, Rosenaldo Benitez.
Rosendo was born on September 30, 1968. Many know him as one of the most hardest working individuals that they would know. He migrated with his family where he harvested the fields in California. He worked long hours and always made it a goal to finish fast so that his mother and wife would do less. Soon after that, he started his family landscape business that transitioned to BENITEZ TRENCHING. He was very proud and devoted to his trenching business and was very well respected throughout the home building community.
FAMILY is what always came first for him. He proved himself to be a wonderful and dedicated father. He always put in the extra effort for his children, taking them to their practices, caring for their every need, he never stopped loving them with all his heart.
His grandchildren were his pride and joy. His face would light up every single time he was around them. His love for baseball was reignited as he was starting to coach his grandchildren. He never missed a game. There were so many memories to be made and to the world, he may have just been somebody, but to all of us, he was the world.
“A father like you is rare, one that’s so generous, smart and kind. A father like you is what everyone needs, full of smiles and laughter, always doing great deeds. Nothing can replace a father like you, but when you get to heaven, God will be lucky to have you too.“
Mr. Benitez is survived by his wife, Edith Benitez; three children, Elva Edith Benitez, Rosendo (Stephanie V.) Benitez and Ray (Felicia L.) Benitez; 8 grandchildren, Rosendo III, Romeo, Alessandra Aribella, Anastasia Catalina, Royce, Rydr, Ray Jr. and Rayne Ayarie; father, Ramiro Benitez; 11 siblings, Elda Alvarez, Elvia Garza, Enedelia Hinojosa, Elia Leza, Ramiro Benitez Jr., Rene Benitez, Esther Martinez, Roel Benitez, Elva Edith Benitez, Estella Benitez-Luna and Geronimo Benitez; numerous nieces and nephews.
