Viktor Bondar

VIKTOR BONDAR EDINBURG - Viktor Bondar, 85, went to his eternal home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, December 12, 2021, in Edinburg. Viktor was born in small village in Ukraine. His mom was farm worker and dad was blacksmith. After finishing high school he went on the roof of the train , since he did not have enough money for the ticket, to the city of Dnipro . He applied to the medical school there and after passing exams he was accepted. After graduation he did his masters in pharmacology and was offered faculty position in medical school. After teaching for number of years he accepted position as the head of central regional medical research laboratory and remained in that position until his retirement. Later Viktor moved to the United States. Viktor loved spending time with his wife, his sons and grandkids. He also loved fishing and collecting butterflies. Viktor will be greatly missed by his family and all people who new him. Mr. Bondar is survived by his wife, Tayisa Bondar; two sons, Sergey (Julia) Bondar, and Vitali (Anya) Bondar; four grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a 2 p.m. Celebration of Life Service on Friday, December 17, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
