San Juan, Texas Ofelia Marlene Proa,19, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Ofelia was born November 26, 2001 in Edinburg, Texas to Martin Gerardo Proa and Silvana Maria Pacheco. Ofelia lived in San Juan for most of her life. Ofelia is survived by her parents; Her sisters- Carolina Proa, Sofia Martinez; Nieces and Nephews Liah Careli Davila, Ariadne Davila, Giovani Bautista, Arlette Bautista, Xarecis Bautista, Mauricio Bautista. Visitation will be Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Legacy Chapels,4610 South Jackson Rd in Edinburg with the recital of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral mass will be Monday, October 11, 2021 at the Resurrection Catholic Church in Alamo at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Palm Valley Memorial Cemetery in Pharr. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Legacy Chapels of Edinburg.
