LAYNE PAUL ANDERSEN EDINBURG - Layne Paul Andersen 71, passed away June 30, 2015 at Doctors Hospital in Edinburg, Texas. Layne was born April 11, 1944 in Geddes, South Dakota, son of Wilbur and DeVota Andersen. He is preceded in death by his brother B.B. Andersen and his parents. He is survived by his wife Karen, son Ryan Andersen (Kim), daughter Andrea Andersen (Chris), son Bjourn Andersen (Jen), stepdaughters Mistee Boatright (Dean), Monique Bolt (Bill) and MiLana Domingues (Dave), brother Ronald Andersen (Mary), sister Valerie Munro and sister Sharda Sydzyik (Andy). He is also survived by eight grandchildren. Legacy Funeral Home 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg, Texas is in charge of cremation. No services will be held. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
