GILBERTO SAENZ SR. EDINBURG - Gilberto Saenz, 83, entered eternal rest Tuesday, August 24, 2021, in Edinburg. Mr. Saenz was preceded in death by his parents, Feliciano and Dominga Saenz; his brother, Lisandro Saenz, and his sister, Angelica Saenz Arteaga. Mr. Saenz is survived by his wife, Leonor Saenz; eight children, Gilberto (Nubia) Saenz Jr., Teodora (James) Fobbs, Suzana (Daniel) Ramos, Alma Saenz, Johnny Saenz, Sammy Saenz, Viki (Chris) Shankles, and Al (Monica) Saenz; eight grandchildren, Jeanelle Amanda, Nataleigh Nicole, Matthew Paul, Victoria Elize, Jaidyn Ava, Kinsley Rai, Melanie Janet, and Kai Riley; two great-grandchildren, Brielle Amanda, and Ezra James; numerous and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life service, Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.
