ATANACIA G. AYALA MCALLEN - Atanacia G. Ayala, 94, entered eternal rest Sunday, May 9, 2021, in Mercedes. Mrs. Ayala was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Ayala; her parents, Lazaro and Francisca Gutierrez; siblings, Jose Tomas Gutierrez, and Susana G. Teposte. Mrs. Ayala is survived by her two children, Lazaro R. (Victoria) Ayala, and Fernando Ayala; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gregoria Bustos, and Eluteria Salazar. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, May 12, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
