ELISA R. ALANIS ALAMO - Elisa R. Alanis, 85, entered eternal rest Tuesday, January 26, 2021, in Edinburg. Mrs. Alanis was preceded in death by her husband, German Alanis Sr.; her grandson, Kristopher Castro; her parents, Juan and Trinidad Rodriguez; her brother, Juventino Rodriguez. Mrs. Alanis is survived by her eight children, German (Mary) Alanis Jr., Maricela (Herman) Gray, Ignacio (Blanca) Alanis, Maria (Vicente Gracia) Alanis, Eli (Katty) Alanis, Martha Luna, Hernan (Denise) Alanis, and Dolores Castro; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five siblings, Dora Abrego, Elvia Garza, Abelardo Rodriguez, Auvin Rodriguez, and Juan Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. with a 3 p.m. Celebration of Life service Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapel in Edinburg.
