Roel Silva

Roel Roman Silva Barrera, 83 peacefully entered eternal rest on Monday, December 28, 2020, at South Texas Health System Hospital. Roel was born on January 27, 1937 in Rio Bravo, Tamulipas Mexico. He was a loving son, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather who had a tremendous love for everyone. Mr. Silva is survived by his lovely wife Maria Teresa Silva of McAllen; three sons, Roel Silva, Luis Silva (Gloria), and Rene Silva (Amy); two sisters, Andelia Silva and Gricelda Abrego; three grandchildren, Roman Silva, Anyssa Silva, and Christina Bonilla; numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with a 2 p.m. Celebration of life service Monday, January 4, 2021, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral services are the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
