Beatrice Maria Nunez

Beatrice Maria Nunez, 56, of Soledad, passed away on November 6, 2014 while visiting her Mother in Texas who was very ill. Bea was born February 22, 1958 in Pharr Texas. She moved from Pharr to Idaho as a child in 1964 then moved to Soledad in 1966 until she became our angel. Her husband Manuel R. Nunez, and their two children; Manuel R. Nunez IV of Monterey and Marissa R. Nunez, also of Monterey, survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents Serafin (Shorty) Morin who passed away in 1987, and Maria DeJesus Morin who passed away October 16, 2014. She is also survived by her sister Rosa Gortarez, brother Arnold Jose Morin, sister Anna Morin, and brother Serafin Morin. She will be remembered for her generosity, her huge heart, her bubbly personality, and for the unconditional love for all her friends and family. She will also be remembered for her world famous Spanish rice, (which she called "Sopa de Arroz"). Bea had a strong work ethic. She graduated from Gonzales High School in 1977, and began working in the medical field until her passing. Her love of music and dancing took us to so many Reggae concerts and festivals as a family. A Celebration of hers and her Mother's lives will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Woodyard Funeral Home at 12 pm, followed with burial at the Soledad Cemetery.
