Gumaro Garza

Edinburg- Gumaro Garza, M.D., passed away on July 28th 2014 in McAllen, Texas. He was born to David and Josefa Garza on September 30th 1947 in El Floral, Texas. Gumaro was an internist with Monzer H. Yazhi and Associates in Edinburg. Dr. Garza was a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, obtaining a bachelor's of science in pharmacy; and the University of California in La Jolla, earning a degree of doctor in Medicine. Dr. Garza is preceded in death by his parents and brother Hernan Garza. He is survived by his children, Erik D. Garza and wife Claire of Spring, Texas, Jenna K. Garza, D.V.M., of Earlysville, Virginia; grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Garza and Cullen David Garza, and sister, Flora Saenz of Edinburg. Friends and family are invited to a service of celebration, commencing at 3:00pm on Saturday, the 2nd of August 2014 at Legacy Funeral Home, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. Immediately after the service, there will be a reception at Legacy Funeral Home.
