Xavier Fernandez

EDINBURG — Xavier Fernandez, born on April 6, 1961 to Francisco and Irma Fernandez, passed away on July 4, 2014 in McAllen, Texas. Xavier is survived by his devoted wife, Pam C. Fernandez; children, Andrea Abigail Fernandez, Xavier Fernandez, Jr., Jonathan A. Fernandez; parents, Francisco and Irma Fernandez; siblings, Abby Diloy-Fernandez, Iris Ramirez, Miriam Fernandez, Frank Fernandez, Benjamin Fernandez, and Celia Fernandez. Xavier was a follower of Christ, proud veteran of the US Air Force, and a mentor and great friend to many. He was known for his huge smile and positive attitude. Xavier impacted the lives of many people and all who knew him will dearly miss him. Friends and family are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a 7:00pm prayer service at Legacy Funeral Home, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. A chapel service will be at 11:00am, Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Legacy Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. The family is in the care of Legacy Funeral Home of Edinburg.
