JUDY DAVIS COOPER
Judy D. Cooper (70) of Mission, TX died on March 11, 2020 at the DHR Health Hospice Center after a prolonged illness. She was born January 26, 1950 in Johnson County, KY to the late Miles Enoch Davis and Mary Kathryn Fraley Davis. She was graduated from Morehead State University with social work degree that led her to work with the homeless, people with persistent mental illnesses, and finally with hospice patients. Her illness forced her retirement in January 2017. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandsons and travelling, especially taking Caribbean cruises with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Cooper; two children: a son, Fredrick Jeremy Haar and a daughter, Delisa Haar James, both of Lexington, KY; three grandsons, Airman Brennon Keith Ball, Naylan Joseph James, and Miles Hayden James. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Joan (Harry) Tackett of Keaton, KY and Karen (Greg) Hencye of Ashland, KY. Her absence is a silent grief, her life a beautiful memory.
Judy’s memorial services will take place at Clark Legacy Center, 601 East Brannon Road, Nicholasville, KY, 40356. Visitation will be form 4-6 PM on Monday, March 16, 2020 with a memorial service at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers Judy has asked for donations to God’s Pantry in Lexington, KY, Catholic Action Center’s
homeless programs in Lexington, KY, or the Humanitarian Respite Center (via Catholic Charities RGV) in McAllen, TX.
