Arabella "Miss Abby" Avila, born the 20th of October 1954, in Mexico, to Jose and Maria Del Socorro, died peacefully on Saturday, the 28th of June 2014.
"Miss Abby" graduated from McAllen High School and Pan American College in 1987 with a degree in Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse and owner of New Beginnings Behavioral Health Service and Proactive Homecare, both of Edinburg.
She is predeceased by a son, Alfredo Giron, parents, and sisters: Noemi Avila and Lupita Salazar.
She is survived by her siblings: Rosie Avila, Avimagiel Avila (Lupita), Jose Antonio Avila (Paula), Eva Avila (Rosie Garza), Amy Addams and Antonia Sanchez (Jose Luis); as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to a visitation from five until nine o'clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 1st of July 2014, at the Legacy Funeral Home, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg, where a celebration of life service is to commence at seven o'clock.
Chapel Service will begin at ten o'clock in the morning, on the 2nd of July, 2014 at Legacy Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception to be held at Legacy Funeral Home.
