Edinburg, Texas Mr. Santiago Cantu,81, entered into eternal rest December 31, 2019 surrounded by his family at the Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg. Santiago was born July 25, 1938 In Mexico to Flumencio and Guadalupe Cantu. Santiago had lived in Edinburg for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents and other family members. Santiago is survived by his wife- Librada Lucio; His children- Maria Elena Rodriguez, Juanita Hernandez, Norma Pinon, Blanca Hernandez, Maria de Jesus Cantu, Lucio Cantu, Santiago Cantu, Martin Cantu, Guadalupe Cantu; Siblings- Estela Cantu, Marcial Cantu, Irene Cantu; Numerous of Grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2020 at Legacy Chapels,4610 South Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. A celebration of life service will be at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow to San Jose cemetery in Mission at 3:30 pm. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
