Edinburg- Arnoldo Ramos was born on November 9th 1936 to Samuel and Clara Canales-Ramos in La Casita Ranch, Texas. He passed away on March 24th 2014 in Houston, Texas.
He leaves behind his devoted wife, Maria Ofelia Cisneros-Ramos; children, Cynthia Mirtha Ramos, Ricardo Rene Ramos (Lisa), Daniel Mario Ramos (Karen); five granddaughters, Alani, Cara, Akela, Karis, and Corinn. He is also survived by a brother, Homero Ramos and brother-in-law, Arnoldo Cisneros (Irma).
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 1st 2014 from 4:00pm to 9:00pm with a 6:00pm prayer service at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson, Rd., in Edinburg and can be viewed online at www.legacychapelsrgv.com. Full Military Honors will be conducted under the auspices of V.F.W. Post 8788 of McAllen. Immediately following the service, a reception will follow.
In abiding with Arnoldo Ramos' wishes, Interment of half of cremated remains will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday April 2nd 2014 at the family cemetery at Una de Gato Ranch in Starr County. The remaining remains to be buried at 4:00pm on Wednesday, April 2nd 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Brownsville, Texas.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
