JOHN WILLIAM HAAK
EDINBURG - John William Haak, 47, left peacefully to be with our Lord, Tuesday, August 6, 2019. John was preceded in death by his daughter, Colleen Mulan Haak and his mother, Mary C. Haak.
John met his life long love, Annabelle, in Premont, Tx at Oasis Restaurant while working as a young farmer. Big John loved to Love, and his larger than life, charismatic personality lit up the room. John's smile and sense of humor were infectious, and left us always laughing. He lived an authentic, dynamic, and true life. Showing his family and friends, cancer could not steal his faith, personality, compassion, or humor. John's best times were spent on the ranch, with his girls, hunting deer and hogs, cooking big steak meals, and riding the Polaris.
His life's mission was to share his faith and Joy. John's career in oil field work led him to consulting, where he continuously held those in his charge, to the highest standard. He began each day's work leading his crew in prayer.
Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope" was his favorite Bible verse. Big John will be dearly missed and forever loved by all who knew him.
