Robert W. Schiller

August 1, 1948 - January 1, 2014 Robert W. Schiller, at 65, took his last at-bat. Bob is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Debbie, his children who were his pride and joy; Megan, Marc, Robby and Caitlin, and two grandchildren, Blake and Hannah. Bob is also survived by his siblings Jude, Jim, CatherineMary, and John, his two cousins Mary and Tylene who were like sisters to him, and seventeen nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Sue, and sisters and brothers-in-laws, Karie, Pam and Hiram, and Lisa and Randy. Bob's family was everything to him. Bob has a very special angel, Linda Menchaca, who helped take care of him for several years. He also has a very close-knit family at The Bridges of Edinburg who made every day special for him. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Shirley, his grandparents Vincent and Mary, Walter and Katherine and his godmother Dorothy. Bob was one of the good ones who, while living, brought love, hope, and encouragement to those whose lives he touched and who, in passing, leaves an inspiring legacy to carry us forward. We believe he is happy and whole again in God's presence. Bob, may the Angels sleep on your pillow. A celebration mass for Bob will be held on Saturday, January 4th at 10:00 in the morning at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen, Texas. Instead of flowers, please make donations to The Bridges of Edinburg Activity Fund because Bob loved to play! Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
