Edinburg - Matthew Ryan Ramirez, "Bucket", passed away on Monday, November 18th 2013 in Cotulla, Texas. He was born on July 21st 1987 in Harlingen, Texas to Joel and Belinda Ramirez. After graduating from Johnny G. Economedes High School in 2005, he attended South Texas College and graduated in May of 2013 as a Diesel Mechanic. Since the age of 8, Matthew had a passion for team roping and won many prizes from buckles to horse trailers to even a truck at the age of 15. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family and his new joy in life, Isabella.
He is survived by his parents Joel and Belinda, wife Reyna Salazar, daughters: Evelyn Anchondo and Isabella Mae Ramirez, siblings: Aliana Ramirez and Ramsey James Ramirez, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21st 2013 between the hours of ten o'clock in the morning and nine o'clock in the evening at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd., in Edinburg. A Rosary will take place at seven o'clock in the evening and will be webcast online at www.legacychapelsrgv.com
Funeral Services will be at ten o'clock in the morning on Friday, November 22nd 2013 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.
Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
