McAllen - Vernon Charles Mitchell, 61, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Mr. Mitchell is preceded in death by his sister, Debra Mitchell.

Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Maria Estela Mitchell; 8 children, Stephanie, Damian, Nathaniel, Charles, Angelo, Duncan, Jay Mitchell and Rigoberto Rodriguez; his parents, James and Lucia Mitchell; 3 siblings, Ray Mitchell, James Jr. Mitchell and Milie Rodrirguez; 5 grand-children; numerous family and friends.

Memorial service will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with a 2 p.m. rosary, Friday, September 1, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.
