TEXAS STATE TROOPER MOISES SANCHEZ
MCALLEN - Trooper Moises Sanchez, 49, entered eternal sleep Saturday, August 24, 2019 in Houston, Texas,surrounded by his family. Moises was a proud veteran, having served his country in the United State Marine Corps. Moises worked for FedEx for 18 years prior to becoming a Texas State Trooper, protecting and serving the citizens of Texas. Moises' service did not stop there. Whether it was coaching various sports at the Boys and Girls Club, teaching Mixed Martial Arts, or being active in the self-defense class at his church. Moieses loved donating his time in the midst of his work schedule. A true family man, he also enjoyed casual group pastimes such as: mountain biking, the classic American barbeque, and movie nights.
Trooper Sanchez is survived by his wife, Yvonne Sanchez; three children, Zachary, Zebastian, and Zoey Sanchez; his parents-in-law, Saul and Santa Uvalle; three sisters-in-law, Santa (Raymond) McClelland, Edna (Carlos) Coss, and Elizabeth (Tony) Garcia; a brother-in-law, Saul (Rosie) Uvalle Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews. Moises was preceded in death by his parents, Arturo and Eloisa Sanchez.
Public visitaion will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2019 at Bert Ogden Arena 4900 South Interstate 69C in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission with full military honors.
