TERESA PENA PHARR- Teresa Pena, 89, died Saturday June 6, 2015, in McAllen surrounded by her family. Born in Weslaco she had lived in Pharr most of her life. Mrs. Pena is preceded in death by her husband, Benito Martinez; a son Guadalupe Martinez; parents, Guadalupe and Tomasa Pena; a sister Amelia Pena and a brother Armandin Villarreal. Teresa is survived by her three children, Maria San Juana (Juan Antonio) Gomez, Guadalupe Martinez ( San Juana) Pena and Jorge Martinez ( Maria De Los Angeles) Pena; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Antonio Pena. Visitation will be from 3pm to 9pm with a 7pm rosary Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
