Sinforosa Garza

SINFOROSA CANTU GARZA EDINBURG - Sinforosa Cantu Garza, 84, of Edinburg, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 3, 2020, at Amara Hospice in Edinburg, Texas. She was born on December 20, 1935, to the late Nicolas and Romanita Villarreal Cantu in Encino, Texas. She was married to the late Adalberto Garza, Sr. Sinforosa is preceded by her late husband, her parents, and her brothers Gustavo, Ruben and Raymundo Cantu; sister-in-law, Sida Cantu and brother-in-law, Armando Garza. She is survived by her family which she loved so much: Adalberto (Cathy) Garza, Jr., Esteban (Juany) Garza, Carlos (Mercedes) Garza, Myrna (Jesus) Balderas, Santana (Sandra) Garza and Dalinda (Larry) Smith. She also leaves her most valuable treasures which were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was blessed with 21 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Sinforosa is also survived by her siblings, Blanca Garza, Humberto (Fela) Cantu, Gilberto (Angelita) Cantu, Eutemio (Adelaida) Cantu, Diana Cantu, Frank Elizondo, Lupita (Johnny) Perez, Hugo (Denise) Cantu, and Nina Cantu; sister-in-law, Leonires Cantu; numerous nieces and nephews. Sinforosa was well known for her humor. She could make everyone laugh no matter the situation. She would always be dressed to impress with her bling, bling. She had a passion for cooking, jewelry shopping, eating Chinese food, and spending time with her family. On behalf of the Garza, Balderas and Smith families, we would like to extend our gratitude for the loving and amazing care given to our mother by the staff at Amara Hospice and Senior Care Nursing Facility. You will forever be in our hearts. Private funeral arrangements will be held at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
