MISSION - RUBEN SALAZAR JR., 41, entered eternal sleep Thursday, June 1, 2023 in Brownsville, surrounded by his family. Mr. Salazar was preceded in death by his mother, Marivel Salazar; maternal grandparents, Hector and Ernestina Cavazos.
Ruben is survived by his wife, Erika Salazar; three children, Kendra Salazar, Isaac Salazar, Aaron Salazar; his father, Ruben Salazar; three siblings, Eric Salazar, David Anthony Salazar, and Elizabeth Salazar; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday, June 8, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2023 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Mission. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
