Ruben Garza Ramos

EDINBURG - Ruben Garza Ramos, 81, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, April 15, 2023, in Edinburg. Mr. Garza was preceded in death by his parents, Pablo and Estela Garza; siblings, Arturo Garza, Nasaria Garza, and Josefina Garza.

Mr. Garza is survived by his wife, María Esther Garza; his children, Ruben (Isabel) Garza Spouse, Estela Garza, Linda D. (Carlos) Soria,  Joel (Luz) Garza, and Nereida Garza;  sixteen grandchildren, Gerardo Garza, Jessica Garza, Alan Vega, Linda L. Garza, Tania Garza, Paola Soria, Joel Garza Jr., Eliudt Vega, Kassandra Soria, Karen E. Garza, Carlos J. Soria, Isabela Garza, Betzy Cabello, Lucero Cabello, Moises Garza, and Elias Garza; five great-grandchildren, Roman Garza, Stella Garza, Jayleen Garcia, Amari Acosta, and Mateo Villalpando; four siblings, Grofey Garza, Pablo Garza, Mary Garza, and Lupita Garza Ramos; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Monday, April 17, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
