ROSA ELIA LEAL

RIO GRANDE CITY - Rosa Elia Leal, 59, went to be with our Lord, Sunday, March 11, 2018, in Rio Grande City surrounded by her family. Born in Control, Tamps., Mexico, she had lived in Rio Grande City area most of her life. Mrs. Leal is preceded in death by her daughter, Iliana Leal; parents, Manuel and Victoria Lopez; a sister, Gloria Lopez.

Rosa will be dearly missed by all who knew her and will be forever loved. She enjoyed attending church, family gatherings, and any church functions. Her family was what made her most proud and she was a strong faithful person who always put God first. Mrs. Leal always be remebered for her smile and great talent for sweing vails.  

Mrs. Leal is survived by her husband, Abelardo Leal Sr.; five children, Abelardo (Samantha) Leal Jr., Jehoshua (Leslie) Leal, David (Mayra) Leal, Karen Victoria (Efren) Garcia, and Emanuel Leal; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson, eight siblings, Juan De Dios (Rosa) Lopez, Emilio (Fina) Lopez, Napoleon (Maria De La Luz) Lopez, Constantino Lopez, Matias (Zeniada) Lopez, Maria De La Luz (Ernesto) Morales, Martina (Jorge Luis) Villegas, Leticia Lopez; an aunt, Paola Treviño; numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd, Edinburg, Texas. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at La Victoria Cemetery in La Victoria, Texas. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chaepls in Edinburg.
