ROGELIO IGNACIO " EL CHAPS" HERNANDEZ HIDALGO - Rogelio Ignacio "El Chaps" Hernandez, 52, went to be with our Lord, Tuesday, May 31, 2016, in Harlingen. Born in Rio Bravo, Tamps. Mexico, he had lived in Hidalgo most of his life. Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife, Maria I. Barrientos Hernandez; ten children, Elizabeth (Filiberto) Delgadillo, Gerardo (Selene) Hernandez, Sergio Hernandez, Brenda (Mike) Taylor, Yasmin Hernandez, Edgar (Samantha) Hernandez, Iris (Omar) Martinez, Christopher Hernandez, Ruby (Adrian) Barajas and Rogelio Hernandez; 16 grandchildren; his parents, Santos and Gloria Hernandez; three brothers, Rigoberto, Santos and Martin Hernandez; three sisters, Sylvia Rojas, Liliana Salinas and Sonia Hernandez; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016, at Legacy Chapels. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
