Hidalgo - Richard Muniz Sr., 68, entered eternal rest Sunday, September 24, 2023. Mr. Muniz is preceded in death by his brother, Pedro Muniz.

Mr. Muniz is survived by his parents, Miguel and Lucy Muniz; 3 children, Richard Muniz Jr., Melissa Muniz and Judy (Rosendo) Rosas; 7 siblings, Mike (Ester) Muniz, Prudencio (Sonia) Muniz, Andy (Edna) Muniz, Frank (Dara) Muniz, Frances Anita (Jose) Rivera, Diana (Jim Archie) Muniz, and Monica (Frank) Morin; sister in law, Paloma Muniz; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; numerous nephew, nieces, family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission.
