Pleasant Smith

PLEASANT EARL SMITH MCALLEN - Pleasant Earl Smith, 76, went to be with our Lord Thursday August 20, 2015, in McAllen surrounded by his family. Born in Persifer, Illinois and raised in Orlando, Florida he had lived in McAllen for the past 20 years. He is a retired boat Captain. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife Eleonore; eight children, Kathy (Joel) Pulver, Jim (Jenny) Smith, Yevette (Robin) Smith Hill, Billy Smith, Calvin Smith, Shannon (Phillip) Cozort, Christine (Aaron) Postert and Earnest Cruz; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin at 4pm with a 6pm rosary Monday, August 25, 2015, at Legacy Chapels, 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 7:30pm Monday, August 25, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish in McAllen. Cremation will take place at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral service are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
