OSCAR CORDOVA

EDINBURG - Oscar Cordova, 60, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in McAllen. Mr. Cordova was preceded in death by his parents, Modesto and Minerva Cordova; his brother, Arturo Cordova.

Oscar will always be remembered for his sense of humor, love for fishing, as well as being the family pitmaster for holidays and family events.

He lived his life as a hardworking man who enjoyed exploring the country in an 18-wheeler as a truck driver. However, when he wasn't on the road, he would be dancing the night away with Delia, or at home relaxing on the couch surrounded by his dogs and his number one fan Scrappy, the family Shih Tzu. 

Above all, Oscar's love for his family and, most importantly, his grandkids is what those close to him will cherish most. His kindness and support he has given throughout his life will never be forgotten. 

Mr. Cordova is survived by his wife, Delia; four children, Lee (Jessica) Maldonado, Carlos (Cynthia) Maldonado, Lizette Maldonado, and Victoria Maldonado; four grandchildren, Carlos Lee, Lee Jr., Johnathan, and Mason; two siblings, Arturo Cordova and Rosalinda Tijerina; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2022, at Saint Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in San Carlos. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
