Oscar Cano

Mcallen - Oscar Cano, 76, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. Mr. Cano is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Cano and Angelita Barrientos Cano, son Francisco Jesus Cano, and sister, Irma Garza. 

Mr. Cano is survived by his wife, Eva Cano; four children, Juan Cano, Maribel Ortega, Eva Ontiveros, and Oscar Cano Jr.; eight grandchildren, Juan Jr., Jaquelyn, Yaritza, Jasmine, Angel, Wyatt, Crystal, and Oscar III; one great-grand-daughter Erza; six siblings, Quirino Cano, Roberto Cano, Gilberto Cano, Angelita DeLeon, Maria De La Jesus Villarreal, and Rigoberto Cano; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, and colleagues, all of whom were touched by his kindness and warmth.

Throughout his life, Oscar dedicated himself to landscaping, tirelessly providing for his beloved wife, Eva and his children. When not immersed in work, Oscar found solace in camping by the beach, fishing, and relishing delicious barbecues and seafood feasts. Oscar leaves behind cherished memories and will be deeply missed.

 Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at Legacy Chapels, 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at San Juan Diego Catholic Church, 3408 Idela Ave., Mcallen. Internment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery and Mausoleum Mcallen.

Funeral Services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
