PHARR - Oscar Javier Avila Mariscal, 55, entered eternal rest on Wednesday January 22, 2025, in Edinburg. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Ana Mariscal Cisneros.
Oscar is survived by his father, Alfredo Avila Lopez; his brother, Erik Avila Mariscal; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service Thursday January 30, 2025, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 1 p.m. Friday January 31, 2025, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at La Blanca Cemetery in La Blanca.
Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
