Mike Ayala

Donna, Texas Mike E. Ayala Jr., 84 , went to be with God on Saturday December 10, 2016. He was born on September 9, 1932 in McAllen, Texas to Margarito and Maria Dolores Ayala. Mike lived in McAllen for most of his life. He graduated from McAllen High School in 1951 where he excelled in playing football. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He played football while stationed at Ft. Bliss. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved to B B Q. He enjoyed spending time and spoiling his 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings; Aurora, Dolores, Susie, and Esther. He is survived by his daughters; Maria Dolores Ayala, Gloria Martinez (Adalberto) , Beatriz Aguilar (Abel), and Graciela Jackson (Stephen); Sisters and Brothers- Beatriz Wilson, Elsie Medina, Lalo Ayala, Richard Ayala, Veronica; his ex spouse Ester C. Ayala, His grandchildren; Matthew, Amber, Ester, Elijah, Caleb, Seilah, Ava, and Mia. Funeral and burial services will be on Wednesday December 14, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Rio Grande Valley State Veterans Cemetery in Mission. Funeral arrangements are being directed by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
