EDINBURG
EDINBURG - Miguel “Mikey” Vallez was born on November 8th, 1962 in Brownsville, Texas. He was raised in Fresno, California where he met his lawfully wedded wife Kathy, and had 6/7 of his children. He then moved to Chicago, Illinois with his wife and children, and had his last child there as well while establishing a family business of his own. After 16 years, he and his family moved to Texas to start a new beginning and a new home. He enjoyed traveling to various places, he relished his moments with his grandchildren, loved cruising in his Chevy Silverado, cherished his times cooking and adopted his favorite activity of fishing, was open to giving advice about life prolonging challenges and obstacles through the decisions we came across, and most of all, he loved each and every one of his children. Although he was a businessman for most of his life, he enjoyed working at Best Little Warehouse of Texas. He adored working with customers and was very much of a people-person. He developed life long friend connections with his coworkers and bosses who eventually felt like family. He was known for always making individuals laugh by the jokes he made. He will be leaving behind his beloved wife, Kathy Vallez, his 3 daughters Viola Helena, Ashley Monique, and Michaela, his 4 sons Matthew, Michael, Tony, and Sean, and 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a prayer service at 5 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road, Edinburg Texas
