MARY ANN HAVEN

ZAPATA- Mary Ann Haven, 91, entered eternal rest on Friday, July 14, 2023 in Edinburg. Mary fought hard to stay with her family until the end. Mrs. Haven was preceded in death by her parents, Kemble and Alice Joines; sister, Janice Joines.

Mary was a registered nurse in multiple fields within the health care community until retiring to travel with her husband and their dogs. When younger she was a skilled seamstress who made fondly remembered toys and clothing for her children. During their travels, they became beloved permanent residents of Zapata Texas. She enjoyed reading, camping, fishing and traveling on cruises.

Mrs. Haven is survived by her husband, Richard L. Haven; three children, Sheryl Haven, Barbara Haven and Leslie Haven; two brothers, Tom and Gary Joines.

Mary was a very much loved wife, mother and friend. She will be forever missed and loved by all who knew her.

In ieu of flowers, please make a donation in Mary's name to her favorite charity, Special Olympics or the charity of your choice.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
