Maria Yolanda Vargas

ALAMO - Maria Yolanda Vargas, 75, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 8, 2024, in Alamo surrounded by her family. Mrs. Vargas was preceded in death by her parents, Luz and Concepcion Rodriguez; three siblings, Romeo Rodriguez, Eva Rodriguez, and Diana Rodriguez.

Mrs. Vargas is survived by her three children, Sonia (Edward Ramirez) Vargas, Casimiro (Viviana) Valdez, and Eloy (Maribel) Fernandez; seven grandchildren, Stephen, Sergio, Julian, Valerie, Brenda, Suzett, and Alejandro; 8 great-grandchildren; eight siblings, Erasmo Rodriguez, Delia Castillo, Irene Rodriguez, Imelda Robledo, Luz Rene Rodriguez, Yomar Morua, Martha Rodriguez, and Nelda Sanchez; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Celebration of Life service on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
