Edinburg, Texas Maria Elena Rivera,49, entered eternal rest surrounded by her family at her home in Edinburg. Maria was born May 20, 1970 in Edinburg, Texas to Jose Aleman Rivera and Maria Del Carmen Reyes. Maria Elena had lived in Edinburg all her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; Her Siblings- Alejandra and Jose Guadalupe. Maria is survived by her only daughter Dulce Rivera and her only grandson, the twinkle in her eye, her life, Julian Alejandro; Her brothers and sisters- Rosie, Isabel, Doris, Juan, Raul Guadalupe, Hermelinda, Rodlfo, Elva, Paula, and Miguel Angel. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at Legacy Chapels,4610 South Jackson Rd in Edinburg from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will start a 1:00 pm. Cremation will follow at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels of Edinburg.
