MARIA I. RANGEL

MCALLEN- Maria I. Rangel, 91, went to her eternal home with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, January 28, 2023 in Edinburg. Mrs . Rangel was preceded in death by her husband; Antonio Rangel; two grandsons, Jaime Rangel and Ruben Alvarado Jr.; parents, Ramon and Cenona Martinez; 7 siblings, Gabino, Jesus, Matiana, Pedro, Baltazar and Mauro.

Mrs. Rangel is survived by her six children, Norma A. (Arnold) Rodriguez, Ana Laura (Ruben) Alvarado, Peter A. (Martha) Rangel, Paul (Maricela) Rangel, Gabby (John) Almaraz and Mari E. (Felix) Carrion; 28 grandchildren, Sylvia, Rafa, Sandra, Rosie (Roger), Luis Carlos (Yvonne), Hilda, Gracie, Laurie, Ruby (Jorge), Ruben Jr., Johnny, Sarai (Brandon), Eliut (Monique), Tony (Christy), Emilio (Crystal), Charlie, Karina, Cindy, Lynn, Deena, David (Lily), Geena (Erik), Jaccob (Stephany), Calvin (Jessica), Johnny, Roxy, Mandy and Alex (Rebecca); 56 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Eugenia Avila; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with a 2 p.m. rosary, Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Celebration of Life will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
