Maria Guadalupe Herrera

Mcallen - Maria Guadalupe Herrera, 57, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024. Born and raised in Mcallen, Texas, Lupita was a vibrant spirit known for her love of life and laughter. She cherished playing bingo and enjoyed the lively sounds of mariachi music, which often filled her home with joy. As an active member of the nonprofit organization Angels of Love, Lupita dedicated her time and energy to helping those in her community. Her compassion and commitment to service left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Mrs. Herrera is preceded in death by her husband Roberto Lezama Juarez; mother Librada Herrera; maternal grandparents, Pedro Regalado Salinas and Arcadia Regalado Loa; paternal grandparents, Vicente Herrera and Francisca Martinez Herrera.

Mrs. Herrera is survived by her beloved children, Karla Ximena Lezama and Carlos Eduardo Herrera; father, Guadalupe Herrera; two brothers, and six sisters, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A celebration of Lupita's life will be from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 6:15 p.m. rosary, Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
