MARIA ELVA RIVERA

SAN JUAN - Maria Elva Rivera, 81, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, in McAllen. Mrs. Rivera was preceded in death by her three children, Federico Rivera, Alvina Rivera, and Josefina Rivera; her grandson, Fabian Carrizales; her parents, Cleofas and Manuela Rodriguez; five siblings, Victoria Rodriguez, Alfredo Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez, Leopoldo Rodriguez, and Lidia Rodriguez.

Mrs. Rivera is survived by her husband, Jose Angel Rivera; six children, Maria Olga Rivera, Maria Rosa Rivera, Generoso (Alicia) Rivera, Jesus Angel (Yessenia) Rivera, Juan Jose (Veronica) Rivera, Diana L. (Juan) Rivera; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three siblings, Manuel Rodriguez, Antonio Rodriguez, and Chando Rodriguez; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, February 26, 2023, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, February 27, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Mission in Pharr. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
