Maria Elma Salinas

EDINBURG - Maria Elma Salinas, 91, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, December 14, 2024, in Houston. Mrs. Salinas was born in La Bonita, Tamps., Mexico to Santos and Mercedes Garza. She attended secretarial school in Monterrey N.L., Mexico. She lived in McAllen most of her life. She was known for her love of plants, her green thumb, and beautiful garden. Maria will be greatly missed by all whom knew her and forever loved.

Mrs. Salinas is survived by her two sons, Francisco Javier Mora, and Librado (Denise) Salinas; three grandchildren; a sister, Hermelinda Rossi; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a 5:30 p.m. rosary on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Valley Memorial Gardens in McAllen. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
