EDINBURG- Maria Isabel Cortinas, 51, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 23, 2022 in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Mrs . Cortinas was preceded in death her parents, Jesus and Elvira Gonzalez.; sister, Blanca Alicia Gonzalez.

Mrs . Cortinas is survived by her husband, Blas Cortinas Jr.; three daughters, Jessica (Nicolas) Flores, Carmen Lizeth Valdez and Astrid (Tanner) Scott; two grandchildren, Blas Ismael and Alicia Genevieve; five siblings, Criselda (Jose) Nieto, Jesus (Rosario) Gonzalez, Elvira (David) Montoya, Juan F. (Janet) Gonzalez and Iris M. (Jose) Frias; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary, Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Legacy Chapels 4610 South Jackson Road in Edinburg. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Edinburg.

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
