MARIA DEL SOCORRO ALONZO EDINBURG - Maria Del Socorro Alonzo, 80, went to be with our Lord Thursday, August 27, 2015, in Edinburg surrounded by her family. Born in Monclova, Coah., Mexico she had lived in Edinburg for the past 19 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, Esteban Alonzo; a son, Hector Alonzo; her parents, Jose and Viviana De La Fuente; three brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Alonzo is survived by four children, Esteban Alonzo Jr., Belinda (Miguel) Galvan, Viviana (Florencio) Garcia and Raul (Sandra) Alonzo; 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margarita Arizmendiz and Velia De La Cruz. Visitation will be from 5pm to 9pm with a 7pm prayer service Friday, August 28, 2015, at Legacy Chapels 4610 S. Jackson Rd in Edinburg. Chapel service will be at 10am Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Legacy Chapels in Edinburg. Interment will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
