Maria Elena Aguirre

Alamo, Texas Maria Elena Aguirre,49, passed away on Saturday July 15, 2017 at her residence in Alamo. She was born on March 25,1968 in Harlingen, Texas to Arnulfo and Elisa Aguirre. Maria Elena was a educator for over 20 years with the Hidalgo ISD. She taught at the Hidalgo Early Collage High School Technology Dept. She was an avid reader who enjoyed Steven King novels. Maria Elena will be dearly missed by her family and all those that came to know her, but her memory will always live in their hearts. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Elisa Aguirre; brother-in-law, Jose R. Garza; as well as Dr. Ernesto J. Baca and Edith D. Baca She is survived by her husband, Jesus Flores; son, Ernest E. Baca; father, Arnulfo Aguirre ; parent-in-laws, Guadalupe and Lucia Flores; sisters, Elsa D. Garza and Dalila Aguirre; brother-in-law, Romeo Flores; sister-in-law, Marlene Flores; nieces and nephews, Jose R. Garza (Brittany), Victor A. Garza, Roel A. Garza, Caleb B. Garza, Jordan P. Cooper, Tiffany Flores, Rebecca Flores, Sophia Flores, Victor Abrego, Aaron Abrego, and Vianney Abrego. She is also survived by Ernest E. Baca (Yamilette), and James P. Cooper. We would like to give a special thanks to Hidalgo ISD for all the support they have offered to us during this difficult time. Visitation will be held on Monday July 24, 2017 at Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a memorial service at 7:00 PM. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
