Luis Angel Canchola, Sr.

MCALLEN - Luis Angel Canchola, Sr., 78, went to his eternal home with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, in McAllen surrounded by his family. Luis fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith (II Timothy 4:7). Mr. Canchola was preceded in death by his mother, Armandina Canchola; a brother-in-law, Ramon Silva. Mr. Canchola was a proud Veteran having served his county in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. 

Mr. Canchola is survived by his wife, Yolanda Araguz Canchola; three children, Loui (Michelle) Canchola, Debra Canchola, Lisa Canchola; four grandchildren, Clarissa, Elizabeth, Alexa, and Trey; four siblings, Jose Guadalupe (Fidela) Canchola, Carolina Silva, Graciela (Leonel) Gaitan, and Juan (Graciela) Canchola; numerous nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. with an 11 a.m. Celebration of Life service at BT Church located at 2001 Trenton Road in McAllen. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to BT Church or Disabled American Veterans. 

Funeral services are under the direction of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
