Leonidas Benavides

Edinburg, Texas Rev. Leonidas Mario Benavides went to be with the Lord on Sunday June 4, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family in Edinburg. Leo has he was known to many was born on April 22, 1951 in Leon, Nigaragua to Ernesto and Maria Benavides. He was a man of God. He spread the word of God to many people throughout his lifetime. He was ordained in 1989 by Pastor Harlam Levsen. He belong to the baptist association. Leo led his church, First Baptist church Pueblo Escojido in San Juan for more than 25 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Mario Alfredo Benavides Left to cherish his memory is his wife Isolina Benavides, his sons Robert (Veronica) Benavides and Hearlyn (Connie) Benavides, brothers and sisters- Trinidad,Eloisa, Anastacio, and Bernardo Benavides and three grandchildren Eric, Eduardo, and Dariel. Visitation will be held on Monday June 5, 2017 at Legacy Chapels,4610 S. Jackson Rd. in Edinburg from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 6, 2017 at Legacy Chapels at 11:00 am. Interment will follow to Hillcrest Cemetery in Edinburg. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Legacy Chapels in Edinburg.
